The show explains it as a partnership between Alfred Angelo and Disney and is presented by Richard Lill, the Alfred Angelo UK Sales Manager, and Carla Bowden, Disney Europe Fashion and Home Senior Manager.
Each wedding dress is based on a Disney princess – Jasmine, Tiana, Belle, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White.
And each of the pieces comes with a quote from Disney such as for Belle ‘the heart like a rose blossoms when loved’.
Richard Lill describes the collection as ‘couture pieces without couture prices’ costing as they do between £599 and £1199.
Each piece is presented in turn upon clothes dummies with the Disney Princess herself picture framed on the wall behind.
All are very beautiful and it would be churlish to single anyone out. But if I must – and I must! – then my favourites are Jasmine (satin with pearl and crystal beading plus rhinestones), Tiana (one shoulder taffeta ballgown with various embellishments), Ariel (lace and taffeta with pearl and crystal beading) and Snow White (satin and lace with crystal and rhinestone beading) – well that is more than half the collection – but I can’t choose between those four!
The collection is also available to view on the Alfred Angelo website where also each of the dresses can be Facebook liked – based on that the Cinderella dress is currently the most popular. These dresses come in a range of sizes from 34W all the way down to 6.
The designer for this collection is Alfred Angelo’s head designer Michael Shettel.
The Wedding TV program is almost unavoidably an advert for the collection – but even if you are not planning to tie the knot it allows you to window-shop the collection to your hearts content.
